Molokini, Hawai'i United States of America, 1998


Diving in Hawai'i is known for its pelagics, species that live their lives in the open oceans. Since the island chain is basically the farthest point from any other land on earth, you get to see things here that you wouldn't normally see, being stuck in the middle of the ocean and all.

Here is where I saw my first, and so far only, Manta Ray. It was a baby, but still pretty impressive.
